Makita DHS680 has a 165mm sawblade and is powered by 18V Li-ion brushless motor. This highly efficient brushless motor, that has many advantages over the non brushed equivalent. As there are no brushes within the motor, zero energy from the battery is wasted on heat and friction that happens when using brushes, therefore the battery lasts longer each charge.
