The DRT50 is Makita’s first Cordless Brushless Laminate Trimmer. The 18v LXT Router comes with an efficient Brushless Motor for up to 50% longer run time. This also increases the power and speed, and longer tool life. It has an electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load and soft start feature for a smoother start-up. It has a speed of between 10,000 and 30,000 RPM meaning it can be used with a wide variety of cutters. Other key features include the smooth fine depth adjustment system for more precise setting and double L.E.D. lights to illuminate the work surfaces. The DRT50 router easily connects to vacuum cleaners with the dust nozzle which improved dust extraction. This version comes equipped with the Makita plunge base (195563-0) which transforms the laminate trimmer into a 1/4 plunge router, giving the DRT50 even more capability.
